Solaris System Engineers (three positions available)
Description:
Alltech is
supporting the IRS on the Infrastructure Shared Services (ISS) program.
This program is responsible for building and delivering an
infrastructure that is scalable, interoperable, flexible, manageable,
and features standardized operations and a single security and
enterprise systems management framework. This infrastructure will
enable our client to deploy modernized business systems and integrate
with the current processing environment to support data access,
web-based service delivery for taxpayers, third parties, and internal
users, and do so in a fully secure and optimally managed operational
environment. The program is responsible for providing technical
guidance and direction to projects with a level of support services that
will enable the projects to use the common, integrated, and shared
infrastructure. Infrastructure Systems Engineering is responsible for
the practical design of the infrastructure solution that conforms to
architectural constraints outlined in the Enterprise Architecture.
Personnel assigned to this group will have a broad knowledge and
understanding of system, network, security, and infrastructure
COTS/Custom code design and engineering.
Required
(must have)

Candidates must
be either Permanent Residents or Citizens of the US and able to pass
a Minimum Background Investigation, which includes clean credit and
tax history

Candidates must be
local (or willing to relocate to the Washington DC metro area)

Systems
Engineering expertise, with heavy experience in Solaris/Unix

Veritas,
including Volume Manager and NetBackup
-
Storage Systems
(EMC, Hitachi, or similar)
